Niko sleeps. For quite some time. Then he wakes up, very slowly, and with an inarticulate mumble that suggests he'd rather still be asleep. "It's definitely not morning."

Elasia has moved to the kitchen table with papers spread out everywhere, "Sorry, still evening. S'okay, g'back to sleep."

Niko considers that for a moment, sitting up to peer rather muzzily at you. "You've been busy."

Elasia nods rather absently, "Almost caught up."

Niko covers a massive yawn with one hand, then starts the entertaining process of getting to his feet. "That's good. Caught up is good. Then you can relax, hm?"

"Yeah, when I get there." Elasia watches you getting up, "Need ..." She edits 'a hand' to, "anything?"

Niko shakes his head, with a crooked smile. Gesturing towards the bathroom, he says, "I'll be right back." Then he follows his own gesture, yes, unlike the Brady Bunch, we will refer to Niko using that room. All hail progress.

Elasia bends back down to her morass of paperwork, making margin notes.

Niko emerges from the little room after a reasonable amount of time. He peers towards the kitchen table a moment, as if considering whether to head in that direction, then ambles back towards the bed instead, settling back against the pillows with a barely-aspirated sigh. Once settled, he watches you for a few moments, a quick smile crossing his face.

Elasia glances up as you return, offering you a smile, "Can I get you anything? Hungry?"

Niko shakes his head. "I'm fine, hon. Really. I can get things for myself." Rubbing at one eye, he inquires, "Did you and Clara have dinner yet?"

"Yeah, but see I know where eveything is and all." She shakes her head, "Nope, she hasn't commed or anything. I've just been getting caught up is all."

Niko gets to his feet and pads over to give you a kiss on the cheek. "Getting caught up is good," he decides. "Though I think we established that earlier, eh?"

Elasia glances up at you, with a mixture of pleasaure and dismay. "Have a seat maybe? Getting caught up may be good, but randomly walking around is bad."

Niko pulls out a chair and folds himself into it. "Clara did say that I was healing fast, though," he says mildly. "So it's not -that- bad." Carefully edging some papers off the table so his elbows won't rest on them, he adds, a bit sheepishly, "See, if I'm back to myself when it's time to go to Hellas, it'll all be a lot easier."

"Still, one step at a time," Elasia suggests quietly, "You got rid of the IV today, but you still have the monitors. Relax, there's no hurry." She nods, "Your parents will have a fit."

You faintly hear a chime mark the hour.

Niko grimaces just a bit, nodding. "Mom's going to have a duck," he says, clearly not looking forward to that aspect of the visit. "She's still jumpy over that glider crash, and that was almost four years ago. But it'll be good to see her."

Elasia shakes her head slightly, mildly amused, "You have quite the record for mother terrifying. With your luck though, you'll have kids just like you. An evil fate indeed."

Niko murmurs, in response to your first comment, "It's not -my- fault these things keep happening." He grins at your last words. "Oh, the horror. I've already got a nephew that, if Losi's to be believed, is me reborn. Having one I couldn't give -back- when he or she does something evil..." He chuckles, but doesn't really seem that bothered by the prospect.

Elasia snickers quietly, "You'd be doomed. But it would be amusing." She rummages through the various papers. "You really do seem to have a knack for trouble though."

Niko lifts his shoulders in a small shrug. "Maybe. You also missed my first couple months here." He pauses. Well, no, the Denners... "Cancel that. You're right."

Elasia shrugs amiably as she begins to make a pile of the paper, "It's okay, trouble's fine. You have a knack for getting out of it as well it seems."

Niko folds his arms on the edge of the table, resting his chin on them. "I'm still here. That says a lot, I guess." He idly watches your paper-piling, a fond smile crossing his face.

Elasia manages to gather everything more or less together, although towards the end of that she gives up on organization, looking rather tired. "Yep, and so is everybody else. Which is all that matters."

Niko says softly, "True. You look tired, hon. Can you take a break, now? I was going to go back to bed, and I'd love it if you came with me."

Elasia chunks the paperwork in the box, "Break sounds good. M'tired." She pauses, "Sure you don't want anything to eat or anything?"?

Niko gets slowly to his feet, then offers you a hand. "I'm not hungry, promise. If that changes, I'll let you know. I'd rather," he adds, letting a bit of his own tiredness creep into his voice, "Just go back to bed for a bit."

Elasia accepts the hand, although she does not use it to rise. "Bed sounds good, lead the way, eh?"

Woe is Niko, he's not used. Mindful of Clara's advice, he takes the walk to the bed relatively slowly, sprawling carefully with a gentle sigh. "Much better."

Elasia clambers into bed after you, kicking off her tennis shoes. Still in the rumpled clothes of the day before she snuggles in closer to you, "Sleep's good for you."

Niko chuckles very quietly. As the injured shoulder is away from you, he offers himself up as a pillow. "And for you, y'know. You need to sleep more. Or something like that."

Elasia curls up against you, taking the proffered shoulder with a soft sigh and a murmur of thanks. "Sleep's good. Normally I do. Schedule's been a bit weird. Maybe a nap now. Sure you're not hungry?"

Niko mumbles, "Absotively posilutely sure. Not hungry at all. Just sleepy." He leans down to kiss your forehead, adding softly, "You're here. I'm feeling better. All's right with the world."

Elasia tugs up the quilts, "Get some sleep, I'll sleep too. Sleep's good."

Niko agrees, with a muffled yawn, "Sleep's good. Sleep well. Rest you gentle." And with that, he closes his eyes, mumbling some endearment under his breath as he drifts off.

Elasia edges in closer, murmuring something quiet before dropping off as well.
